There are always challenges about the future that can’t be foreseen and which sudden emergence we can’t avoid. However, what we can do for being better prepared for the future is to be well-informed about world's current trends and prevailing key issues, to analyze and understand them. And therefore be more proactive in shaping future developments and more capable of influencing real life. The same principle also applies to the future trends of recruitment, staff management and development.

Info days in each Baltic State capital

This autumn IPB Partners organized three separate DiSC Info Day events in the Baltic States. This was the first time we decided to hold public marketing events in each capital (Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius), and to our surprise the interest was bigger than we expected! In Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania together around 45 people participated in the event, most of whom were HR personnel from bigger companies, or recruiters, trainers and consultants.

The power of introverts

Since the publishing of Susan Cain's recent book "Quiet: The Power of introverts in a World That Can not Stop Talking" there appears to be a lot of controversy on the topic of introverts and the debate seems not to end. The book itself has also received quite a bit of attention after sailing long at the top of several top-sellers lists. What even furthered the interest was Susan Cain's popular TED conference on the same topic.

Doing research and writing this book took the four authors six years time, but the outcome is a very good management and leadership book, which we strongly recommend to everyone.

Visiting Finnish partners

IPB Partners has always had a close association with the Finnish partner MLP Modular Learning Processes Oy. This September and February we visited them again and they shared with us MLP's latest activities which inspired us a lot.
