Each person has a natural behavioural style.<\/h3>\n<\/h3>\n

There are no good or bad DiSC behavioural styles<\/a><\/strong>; rather, there are good or not so good skills to manage your natural behavioural style.<\/p>\n

In some situations, your own natural behavioural style is the best one. In other situations, things don\u2019t go so smoothly and you need to consciously adapt your behaviour \u2013 to act in a way that does not come naturally to you.<\/p>\n

What is DiSC Model?<\/h2>\n

DiSC is an acronym that stands for the four main personality dimensions described in the DiSC model:<\/p>\n

(D)ominance, (i)nfluence, (S)teadiness and (C)onscientiousness.<\/strong><\/p>\n

80% of people have more than one leading style, which means that human behaviour involves a mix of the four styles, that blend into a unique personality. <\/strong>Style is also influenced by experience, culture and environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DiSC theory was established by\u00a0Dr. William Marston<\/a><\/u><\/strong> from Columbia University. It was further developed, among others by Dr. John Geier and Inscape Publishing in cooperation with the University of Minnesota, and now by Everything DiSC (a Wiley brand)<\/a><\/u><\/strong>, which specializes in the creation of development tools and scientific research.<\/p>\n
